It’s up to the player, from residences to universities to commercial establishments. Of course, to ensure its survival, you’ll also need to consider strategic trade agreements and cultural developments. The idea of keeping your city afloat is also an interesting concept to explore.

If you find the sky city difficult, the game has a retro mode where you build on the ground like a good old city building. The graphics are more on the minimal side, which adds optimization and works from an aesthetic perspective. Another choking point in the game is its unusual camera controls, which allow for more angles but require a bit more time to understand.

Overall, Atmocity takes a good swing at the flying cities concept. It might not be as detailed as the Cities games, but it works well combined with its gameplay concept and range of content.
